Kingswood Village Association

About Us
Since the 1950s Kingswood Village Association (KVA) has put on events in and for the village. Later, in partnership with the Kingswood New Village Hall project, Show Day became a major feature. To this in 1978 was added the Classic Car Show. In the 80s, with the Village Hall completed, KVA continued to run Show Day on its own. Many other popular events were added from special ones like the Royal Wedding celebrations, to the current regulars:

  • Comedy Night
  • Come Dine With Me
  • Open Gardens
  • The Christmas Wine Festival
  • The Senior Citizens` New Year`s Eve Lunch.

The purpose was always constant:
To put on fun events and use the profits for donations to other Kingswood organisations. Unlike most organisations, KVA has no need of funds for itself. Thus, all its surplus can be donated. In 2017 this meant that it gave £5541 to 17 different village causes.

If your group needs funds please contact either the Secretary, Judi Werrett (judi_rhule@hotmail.com or 07769973072) or the Treasurer, Rod Alexander (rodplume@gmail.com or 01453 843398). KVA particularly helps those groups, which help it at its fund raising events.

At most KVA events we run a raffle to help raise funds and awareness of what the Kingswood Village Association do; raise money to donate to village causes.Almost all of our prizes are donated so if you feel this is something you could contribute towards then it would be hugely appreciated. Please use the contact us page. If you would like to submit a donation please click the "donate" butt

Finally, why not join us? We have a good social life, preparing for our events. Each member can do as much or as little as he or she wants and a chance to offer skills that the others may not have. Any member will be glad to fill you in on the details.
